Annuity due
An annuity with n payments, wherein the first payment is made at time t = 0 and
the last payment is made at time t = n - 1.
Annuity factor
Present value of $1 paid for each of t periods.
Annuity in arrears
An annuity with a first payment one full period hence, rather than immediately.
Anticipation
Arrangements whereby customers who pay before the final date may be entitled
to deduct a normal rate of interest.
Antidilutive effect
Result of a transaction that increases earnings per common share (e.g. by
decreasing the number of shares outstanding).
Any-or-all bid
Often used in risk arbitrage. Takeover bid where the acquirer offers to pay a set
price for all outstanding shares of the target company, or any part thereof;
contrasts with two tier bid.
Any-part-of order
Used in context of general equities. Order to buy or sell a quantity of stock in
pieces if necessary. Antithesis of an all-or-none order (A.O.N.).
